Forgot Your Password

Existing password

If you have an existing password, you will 

  • Respond to a challenge question that was selected when the account password was established. 

    • A challenge question may have been updated during a prior password change. 

    • The response must be answered exactly as entered. 

  • Provide the last four digits of your social security number and date of birth (month, day and year) to confirm your identity before continuing.

Expired Password

All employees and students are required to change their account password every 365 days.

An email reminder is sent three times before the account password expires. If the password expires, access is denied to campus networks, email and information systems.

Employees and students can use alternate authentication to re-establish an account password. This requires unique identifiable information that is verified securely and includes:

  • University ID number (Banner ID)

  • Last four digits of Social Security number

  • Date of birth (month, day and year)

In addition, a user with an expired account password will respond to a challenge question to confirm their identity before the process can continue. 

  • A challenge question was selected when the password was initially established. 

  • This question may have been updated during a prior password change. 

  • The response must be answered exactly as entered.
