All App State users must update their password every 365 days.
Why Password Management
Campus networks and information systems require both a username and account password for authentication purposes.
All App State employees and students are assigned a username and email account with the extension @appstate.edu.
Password Management requires all users to either:
enter a valid university-issued username with an existing account password,
or unique identifiable information to establish or change an account password.
A username is created with
The last name along with the first and middle initials of a user.
A duplicate name requires that a numerical digit be added to the username.
Student usernames, in some instances, may be structured using the students' initials and five numerical digits.
