Setting up your Appalachian State University account, different from MyMountaineer, is a three-part process. You cannot log in to any App State services until you set up Duo 2-Factor Authentication (2FA), set up your security questions and change your password. Your MyMountaineer login is valid only until the start of your first semester.
What you will need to get started:
Your username: {{Banner_Username}}
Your Banner ID: {{Banner_ID}}
At least one device that is valid to use with Duo 2FA. For the easiest and most efficient experience, we recommend a smartphone capable of installing the Duo Mobile app.

Set your password
Your password should be long but memorable. Do not share it with anyone. For further instructions, review our guidelines.
