Password Manager

The Password Manager allows Students, Faculty and Staff at Appalachian State University to establish or update a secure Account Password. Campus networks and information systems require both a Username and the Account Password for authentication purposes.

All Faculty, Staff and Students are required to change their account Password every Ninety (90) Days. The University Password Standard allows strong passwords for faculty, staff and students to expire after 180 days. A strength meter is now a part of the password manager and informs the user when the password is created how long it will be valid. Passwords that are not as strong could expire in 90 or 120 days.

Change your password by using the Password Manager. The link can be found at https://password.appstate.edu
