Computer Support

Three of Appalachian's IT professionals and a number of student employees operate the computer support center, located in room 1022 of the Old Library Classroom Building. This center supports all faculty, staff and student computers. The Computer Support Center works very hard to assist in finding the answers to hardware and software issues. This support center is the main contact for computer needs at Appalachian. Please contact support for assistance with any of the following:

  • Configuring a new system
  • Wireless and wired Internet connections
  • Help with warranties
  • Troubleshooting general computer problems
  • Virus and spyware removal
  • Data migration from one computer to another
  • Operating system and software Installations
  • Computer hardware troubleshooting
  • Technology consulting

Support Center Hours:

Monday-Friday: 8am-5pm

Extended hours will resume at the beginning of the Fall 2008 Semester.
