AsULearn Memory Upgrade and Outage

AsULearn Memory Upgrade and Outage Scheduled between 5:30 AM and 7:00 AM on Friday, October 2

Due to a dramatic increase in AsULearn usage over the last couple of weeks, some users have experienced slow response from the system, particularly between the hours of 11:00AM and 3:00PM. In order to alleviate the impact on users of the increased server load, LTS will be installing additional memory on the AsULearn server on the morning of Friday, October 2, between 5:30 AM and 7:00 AM. AsULearn will be returned to service as quickly as possible after 5:30, with the upgrade hopefully requiring significantly less time than the full interval stated here.

During the installation, AsULearn will be unavailable, and we that hope the early morning installation will present minimal inconvenience. We regret having to take this action on such short notice, but thought that the adverse impact of poor midday performance over the last few weekdays warranted this action.

Please plan your Friday AsULearn usage, taking this short outage into consideration. We suggest that you complete any of your assignments or quizzes that are due on Friday a bit earlier than you might otherwise do, so that the installation does not cause to miss any deadlines or time limits.
