AsUlearn Hardware Replacement - Friday, January 9

In an effort to prevent the kinds of hardware-related AsULearn slowness issues we saw at the end of last semester, our hosting partners will help us deploy a replacement AsULearn server beginning at 7:00 AM on Friday, January 9.

In an effort to prevent the kinds of hardware-related AsULearn slowness issues we saw at the end of last semester, our hosting partners will help us deploy a replacement AsULearn server beginning at 7:00 AM on Friday, January 9.

This means that AsULearn will not be available during the morning hours of Friday, January 9, and we anticipate that AsULearn service will be restored by noon. Though we would have preferred to make this hardware change at a time when there would be less impact (particularly on faculty preparing for the semester start), the constraints of the holidays and absence of many staff over that period made that impossible. We made the choice to implement the change on Friday in the hope that we would eliminate what would otherwise be highly probable outages during the first week of classes. We hope that you experience only minimal inconvenience as we take this action and beg your forgiveness for the short notice - having to make this choice is something we would have preferred to avoid.
