Purpose

Setup ASU Mail on iPhone or iPod Touch

Step by step

1. After getting connected to your wireless network, go to Settings on your device

Choose Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

2. Select Add Account…

3. Select Other (DO NOT USE MICROSOFT EXCHANGE)

4. Choose IMAP and enter your ASU Account information

Incoming Mail Server – imap.appstate.edu

5. Outgoing Mail Server – mail.appstate.edu

6. Click the Outgoing Mail Server. 

Set Use SSL to OFF for Incoming and

Use SSL to ON for Outgoing. Authentication should be Password 

7. Now go to your Mail App and select the ASU account and check

for new mail. You can adjust account preferences in the Mail

Settings like Auto-Check and Signature settings.

8. NOTE: You may be prompted with a message that the certificate

or security settings cannot be verified for the ASU mail servers.

Simply click continue and mail will function normally.
