Purpose

Setup Apple Mail to send mail  
while connected off campus

Step by step

In Mail.app Go to Mail menu>Preferences...

Click on your  ASU IMAP account and click the Server Settings... Button

Check the box Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)

Select Password from the Authentication pull down menu and fill in your ASU

username and password

User will see an error message, Click Continue and the message will send normally
