How to install iPrint for Mac OS X

Step by step

1.  By Default Appalachian State University’s Faculty and Staff builds come with the iPrint client already installed.  To verify the iPrint client is installed go to your “Applications” folder and look for “Uninstall iPrint.pkg”.  This is package is not listed in the “Applications” folder then the iPrint client is not installed and you need to follow these instructions on how to install it. 

If the iPrint Client is installed, please skip to the install printer drivers

2.  To install the iPrint client, please connect to this webaddress: http://print.appstate.edu/ipp and click on the Install iPrint Client in the top right.

3.  Double click on the “iPrint.pkg” installer located on the desktop of your computer. Click “Continue” to go through the “iPrint” installer application.

4.  Select your computers hard drive (hdd) to install the “iPrint” client.  By default your hard drive

will be selected by the green arrow as indicated to the right.

5.  Click “Install” and type your computers username and password in to authorize the installer.

6.  Click “Close” to complete the installation.

7.  Close any web browser you are in (Firefox, Safari, Opear, etc...) and relaunch the applica-

tion you use as your web browser and go to the webpage. http://print.appstate.edu/ipp

From there find the printer for your area and click on the name.  This will when prompt you to see if you want to install this printer.  If yes, click “Install”.  You will then be prompted for your ASU username and password.
