How To Connect to iTunesU DropBox For Macintosh computers, and Windows computers.

Purpose

How To Connect to iTunesU DropBox For Macintosh computers, and Windows computers. 

Note: Your password must have been changed using the password change form  https://www.webapp.appstate.edu/asupassword/default.asp for your login to work

Step by step

For Macintosh Computers

1. From the Go menu in Finder, Connect to Server… (Apple-K)

 

2. Type podcast1.its.appstate.edu in the Server Address field and click Connect

 

3. Login using your standard ASU Credentials

 

4. Select the iTunesU DropBox from the list of Volume to mount and click OK

 

5. Now the iTunesU DropBox share will be mounted on your Desktop. Drag copy any files

you want posted to iTunes U into you department’s folder. 

 

To protect your content and other departments content, this share is a write only drop

box. You cannot open or edit any content once it is placed here. If you try to open a

folder you will get an error:

 

6. Once your content is placed in the drop box, it will be uploaded to iTunesU at a

scheduled interval.

 

For Windows Computers

 

1. Go to Start Menu > Run… 

2. Type in \\podcast1.its.appstate.edu

3. Login using your ASU password 

4. Now the iTunesU DropBox share will be mounted on your Other Places. Drag copy any

files you want posted to iTunes U into you department’s folder.

box. You cannot open or edit any content once it is placed here. If you try to open a folder
